Short update

So last night Skylark and I started Belly dancing. Rank 0: Grace of a dying swan. Felt seriously silly but had lots of fun doing it. Stomach muscles hurt a little after but no side affects today, they will probably hit tomorrow.

DB’s aberrant group was as ruckus as usual. They now discovered they are the most powerful beings on earth. First thing they do is fight over who gets which continent.

In other, more exciting news, on the 7th of Feb I am going back to college.  Yup. I am going to be a student again. Very exciting and scary, jus waiting to hear from the lecturer what I need.  Ok as I wrote that sentence I got an email from here telling her exactly what I need. Going to gather all I need tomorrow and send it through.

Yay!

Ooo pretty shiny Macs

...I need energy to write blog entries

So it’s Jan 18th and that means it’s almost a month since my last post. Quite a bit has happened in that month and I guess I will put it into major events point form or something….right:

  • New Years Eve: It was a quiet new years in comparison to…well...any new years I haven’t spent with my parents (except for the 1 when we were in JHB and my parents let me swim at night and then later let me have some beer and champagne [but not while swimming] that was fun) Had a braai at our house, people fighting for what ever space they could get on the tiny weber (not gonna happen again) and we got nice and toasted. I went to Gotham for long enough to have a double Amarula…quickly and then went back home to bring in the New Year. Had some champagne, had more. We played I have never…which got rather interesting, drank more champagne and another spin (that’s 4th 1). Went to bed at about 2am but I believe people showed up after that *shrug* I was busy *eg*

  • New Years Day: Spent the better part of the day reading, sleeping and making sure BabyAcid drank water. At 4 went to Schpat’s for poker. I wasn’t going to play, just went for company but was convinced to play and I don’t regret it. Had lots of fun, good braai (Hila do you mind pork being made in same place as your food; no; which is your food; the pork chops), good company. Dave Sharp took the winnings (I can’t play, some explain), Zenstar was out first. Schpat lives in a very nice house.

  • So last weekend my depressive stage started again. I go through these every now and again and my world feels like the most horrible place and I cry for now reason. Previously I have had being lonely and no-body-loves-me to blame it on but it’s not the case this time. I tried being as aware of it as possible so when Jacktar couldn’t make something because of work I tried very hard not to take it personally. I didn’t manage but I didn’t take it out on him because I know it’s not his fault and he really would make it if he could. I refuse to go on meds but I will try the herbal recommendations if I get a chance to.

  • Moyo: Thursday I was invited by the people Jacktar was working for to Moyo. All expenses paid wine and food and really good company. The parents and the son are from Australia and the cousin is from Canada. You could tell the cousin and the son spent a lot of time together cause the aussie boy sounded more Canadian then aus.

  • This past weekend: Friday night was an early 1. Went to Gotham but was home by 12. Jack managed to make it too. Had a nice chat with Al and then later Jason but all in all Friday was a quiet night. Saturday I went to the horse races with my daddy. He made quiet a killing off a horse he chose because of his colour, later finding out his sire was the same sire as a previous horse my father owned. After which had lunch at home then went to see Jacktar for the 2 hours he had off, was a nice “nap”. Got home, changed clothes watched some more desperate housewives and went to Cacey to get my hair done, that took a while but I didn’t mind because we got to have a nice chat. I like chatting to Cacey. She often puts things into perspective for me and sometimes just listens, she seem to know when the right time to dispense advice is and which the right time to just listen is. Sat night was loads of fun. Gotham’s first birthday. Dave42 and Princess_Anie made it out which was a big surprise. P_A had called me earlier for plans and I had to inform her that I was busy and I felt bad about it. There is a new “lounge” at Gotham which made huge difference to the fullness of Gotham. At about 3 after quite a bit of alcohol we went to Sid and Cacey’s house and as inhibited as I was I managed to make pancakes. We then watched league of gentleman and when my pancakes finished so did my energy. I passed out on the couch and only woke up in the morning. Cacey and Sid pulled out the sleeper couch for me and I fell asleep for all of 20 minute and then…

  • The Break in: I get a call from Herald. “we need you to come home”(what? I left my parent’s home so people would stop making me come home) “we’ve had a break in” (oh, right, shit). So I get home in my going out clothes and unlaced docs and there are Herald, Skylark and Heralds brother and father, plus several ADT people. I get told to go check if anything is missing from my room. Now understand I thought this was just a regular break in and entry type thing so when I got to my room and found a kitchen knife on my bookshelf my heart did a belly flop…in my belly. I turn to Skylark. No, the held them at knife point and tied them up. They took about R3000 worth of my stuff but they weren’t the smartest of thieves. GlovlessGuy: *picks up scanner* “where is the charger for the laptop” Skylark: “It’s not a laptop it’s a scanner” GlovelessGuy: “oh” *puts scanner back down*. The glove they did have were our dishwashing gloves, the left banana peals everywhere, half eaten yoghurt with the spoon still in it. 2 pairs of shoes and loads of fingerprints. They also trashed Skylark and Herald’s rooms looming for the hidden cash and firearms which they were repeatedly told didn’t exist. So turns out also that our ADT radio thingy that send the signal through to ADT wasn’t working properly so when they pressed the panic button it made a lot of noise but it didn’t send a signal through to ADT. That has been fixed and the burglar bars are being put on the 1 window that didn’t have any.

So that’s the long and the *scrolls up* long of it.
