I Will Not

On Saturday night over dinner I was telling Cacey that I no longer knew who to support in Israel anymore, who was right and who was wrong and where I would stand if I had to stand up and fight. When I was living therer for a year it was clear...The left wing movement had my support and I attended many a rally and protest. I believed their strive for 2 states for 2 nations was rightous and that the palestenians deserved a country of their own. I would deffend the non-extreem palestinian people that I had met and while I didnt condone the suicide attacks I did understand the frustration.

Over this weekend I have been given my answer: Where will I stand up and fight? No where close to Israel. You might say I am a coward because at a time of war I choose to run away, you are wrong. At this time, for this war I choose to stay away because I do not believe either side is justified. If any of you have played Worms , you will remember the little clip at the begining where each worm brings out the bigger gun to outdo the other and I believe this is what is happening right now. I believe that Isrel deserves the katusha's for its response, to the kindnapping of 2 soldiers and killing of others, was exaggerated and I belive that the lebonese deserve the bombings because they had created a sanctury for hesbollah for man many years.

I am fuming that this is happening, my family is in reach of those katushas and RaÕamÕs , 1 of those that landed yesterday was 10km away from where m grandmother lives. My mother, the clever woman that she is, wants to go to israel to be with my grandmother(instead of bringing her here). My cousinÕs babies are only just begining life and their first years will be marred by a couple of terrorist freedom fighters and politicinas who dont know how to function without their sixshooters locked and loaded.

Do I support Israel? NO! do I support Hezbollah? Hell NO! I support my family, my Israeli friends and the millions of innocent people caught in this stupid war and its stupid objectives and the whole childish, egotistical, idiocity of all this.

I will sit saftley on my chair here in South Africa, waiting for some one to make a comment I can appose, but I will not stand up and fight because I have nothing to stand up for.
