I got DICE!

Well my parents came home yesterday. Happy and sad about it but mostly relieved because of my mother’s dog. The brought us presents that they bought for us and a family sent through as birthday presents because they won’t be here for that. I got shoes, sunglasses, a watch, fairies to hang up in my room (which I will keep safely wrapped in their protective bubble wrap for when I move in December), earrings, a flashy thing for my phone, hand cream, perfume (and they had a special on so I got my perfume plus body lotion and shower gel with the same fragrance, they smell just as good as the perfume), Ahava stuff, a ring (that got squashed in the luggage so now we need to find a jeweler that can make it round again) and DICE , I got pretty purple and black dice. No points for guessing which was my favourite present…

Edit: I also got sugarings which is the wax that bodyshop makes, its the best wax i have ever used to date

On that note, was reading through Nobilis some more last night and realised that the Dice nut is planning on running a diceless system. More pressure on me as the DM (or HG in this system) to create more visual settings and more pressure on my players to actually _role_play and not roll play. It is a very shiny system, I am not sure if I can be a shiny DM.

Well maybe I will write more later

ooo Real life zombies

Today was generally univentful. Went to work bright and early as usual, sat here till 12:30 then went to fetch my dad's car from BMW. The guy in charge forgot that it was sposed to be ready by then so he gave us his car to fetch my parent's from the airport with. New 5 series turbo diesel and that car pisses off like you cannot believe. I was sooooo nervous because the car wasnt mine or my dad's and belonged to a complete stranger. Anyway go to the airport fine and the car was devine to drive.

On another note http://65.127.124.62/south_asia/4483241.stm.htm

Still at work, get to leave early to go to my dietician then home to see what I got from overseas. So far I know for sure there is a bottle of perfume, a tub of sugarings (wax from bodyshop) a pair of shoes and a ring....wonder what else

Other peoples mistakes

So there is 55 minutes left of work and surprisingly this part of the day always goes quickly. Today in general has been waaahaay too long.

Weekend: Friday night started at Gotham and there was NO1 there, well that’s not entirely true but you get my point, so I went next door to one ring to join the zombies. I put in my fangs and became the token vampire…
Had lots of fun until the bouncer kicked us out cause he was tired. I wasn’t however having enough fun and I was definitely not drunk enough to join the group that went to corner house..yuch.

Saturday went to play changeling and landed up watching some one else play Fables. Played a bit of changeling. Took Ultixan and Klepht back to res and went home. Watched a few more episodes of smallville and discovered to my horror that the last few episodes are corrupt! *le sigh*. Started getting read for the 80’s party at about 7 and was ready to go by 8…killed time till 8:30 and went to go fetch ElegantlyWasted. 80’s party was gr8. Haven’t danced that much in a long time and the new docs make dancing a pleasure. Not too heavy that I can only stomp like my New Rocks are and there is no heal to make my feet sore.

Sunday I took ElegantlyWasted home, fetched my sister from her friend, went home and fell asleep on the couch. Woke up and got ready for game went down stairs and realised I had left my dash lights on since 10:30 that morning, it was now 6. Called M&D and they came to the rescue. Luckily only needed a bit of a boost. Game was ok, we were all very tired and BabyAcid got to be all perky about it cause he couldn’t go out the night before cause he crashed his car in the driveway…

Yesterday went really quickly, probably because I was stressing so much and there in lies the reason for the heading of this post. The 1 audit company lost all our information. So I had to do a year-to-date. I thought I had to finish it by Monday afternoon but when I called for an extension she said I only had to have it in by the end of the week…grrr. Watched Eurotrip again yesterday…I love that movie! Was in bed by 9:30 *shock*

Today has been so so slow. I am glad its almost over. Got to wash the dog and make supper, parents are coming home tomorrow. Good and bad I guess. Might go to gandalf’s tonight …we’ll see…

20 holes make stairs

20 holes make stairs interesting.

W00t! On Wednesday night I got a pair of 20-hole Docs from a really good friend of mine who came down from the UK for a visit. Today I am wearing them and they are very very stiff. Walking down the stairs…or should I say ambling because my legs had to work in weird ways to prevent me falling over.

Realised today what a dire situation we have at work at the moment when it comes to panel beaters. We were struggling before because we were 1 panel beater short but now another one resigned and the work load is huge. I hope we find another one soon…

Everyone is going to the zombie thing tonight and I realised that I really have no energy for it. Sounds like awesome fun but between being obliged to go to dinner with family friends and just the general tiredness of day to day I just don’t feel like it. I hope everyone has loads of fun and I will see those of you going in brief snippets at the after party since I will be in my usual spot next door at Gotham.

It’s 80’s night tomorrow night at Gotham and I don’t know what to wear. Google images has been useless for a change so I think I need to speak to some of the Goths who were there at the time. I will _not_ wear neon pink!

Went to dinner and M&D’s. I really needed that time with them it has been waahaay too long since we’ve done something like that. What’s weird is since we set the date for the dinner we have spent a lot of time together suddenly. Sunday night I stayed for about an hour after game just chatting, Monday we went shopping for BabyAcid’s presents and landed up having coffee at Love, Revenge, Cappuccino (side note: they have the most incredible fridge marble cheesecake. They use whipped cream cheese, which sounds gross but trust me really is divine. Their chocolate fudge cake is also a must) chatting and spending time together. Wed night after movie night as well. Then Thursday’s supper. Butternut tagliatelli and salad and for desert apple crumble and assort…almond sticks.

4 more hours left of work and then I get to play the avoidance and honesty game :P

The End of an Era

It’s funny how people mark the end of an era. Take my best friend from high school for instance. When I was in Israel she was in the UK, she told me she wasn’t coming back to SA and I cried like my world was ending. She did come and for a short while things were “like old times”. Then Wikus came along and Natalie spent more time with him then her friends. I spent so long trying to put us back to how we used to be, complaining about how things had changed because she was dating Wik. We stopped working at the same place and slowly started seeing less of each other. I didn’t see her for about a year and when I did I realized that although she had changed entirely so had I. She just didn’t fit into my life anymore.

Craig is another one. My first time was with Craig and that turned into a 5 year fuck buddy relationship. I would call him when I felt like a shag and visa versa. If we were free we would shag. When my cell phone was stolen the first time I did my best to get his number again and when he sms’d me I was so happy, this time my phone was stolen, I have made no attempt to get his number and he hasn’t sms’d me and you know what? I don’t care; I don’t want that kind of relationship anymore.

It’s funny how people mark the end of an era; it’s always the important ones. The ones you obsessed over. The ones you were going to love forever, be best friends with forever, need forever. They just don’t fit anymore.

I'm weak ok?

So I was reading every ones blogs from the bottom of the first blog on the first page and so got pulled into this mad craze that is Blogspot....

Today has been a little bit intresting and should be more intresting tonight..yay.

The first half of the day has been frustrating intresting. Now I dont know about you but when I open my door and it happens to open into the road I try get out and close it as soon as possible for fear of having my door removed by some one driving to fast and out of respect for whatever person should be driving up to that section of road , cause it really pisses _me_ off when some one stands there with the door open into the road, there ass hanging out fidgiting in the passanger seat for something! Honestly cant people just walk to the other side of the car and open the passanger seat door and get it there? Just another thing that pisses me off on the road. The list so far goes as such:

People who take their time turning, especially at filter arrows that dont last longer then a minute.
Taxis
Jaywalkers
People who press the button the pedestrian only traffic lights to cross(can't they jaywalk dammit!)
People who's driving capabilities have reached their sell by dates
People who's cars have reached their use by date
People who dont service their car and therefore have oil leaks in their exhaust pipe(if I wanted to pollute my lungs I would light up a cigarette)
People who cut me off
People who forgot how to use their indicator when they got the shiney new car (all these buttons which 1 is the indicator? oooo a cup holder...that will do)
Trucks!(this is a problem since I work in an industrial area)
CY Licence plates (Yes that includes BabyAcid :P)

I think I've ranted enough. Tonight i get to see Rob , he's here form the UK and he has brought with him Docs...for me!

yay
